Bude is a small town of 9-10,000 people located on the rugged coast of north Cornwall, in the south west of England. It is a very popular place to live and also a regular holiday destination for thousands of people each year. The beautiful beaches, great surf, wonderful cliffs and coastal paths together with outstanding countryside make it a beautiful part of God's creation.
The church led by Pastor Roger Rowland and Pastor John Smyth together with their wives Jan and Mary and a great leadership team, is made up of people from many different backgrounds and a number of nationalities. It is a lively charismatic fellowship that continues to grow year on year. The slogan for the church is "a church in the heart of the community with the community in its heart". This sums up the vision for the church of being a vibrant expression of the life of Jesus in our community.
Following the principles of purpose driven church we are continuously reaching out to the people of North Cornwall and inviting them to get to know Jesus through our words and lives. The church does not have a worship centre of its own, so meets on Sundays and for other larger gatherings in The Parkhouse Centre, Ergue-Gaberic Way.
BCF is a fellowship made up of a great cross section of ages, and interests. Our youth and children's ministries are vibrant and have great numbers attending throughout the week.
In 2004 the church made a decision to come under the covering of a major denomination and is now an Elim Pentecostal Church.
The church is developing in many aspects of its life. Leadership training and structures are being implemented together with Life Groups, daytime groups, youth and children's activities and community action.
We enjoy the presence of God and our lively worship; the presence and power of the Holy Spirit; sound, practical Bible teaching and a developing awareness of the need to reach out to the community with the gospel message and love of Jesus are all hallmarks of this wonderful church.
We have purchased and renovated a property in Belle Vue Lane which we have called The Life Centre. This is the hub for community projects as we live out the principles of seeking to see our community transformed by Jesus.
